Just...because.

A SPACE TO be yourself
Online counselling gives you space to explore what’s happening for you, without having to fit what you’re experiencing neatly into a label.
You might be struggling with anxiety or overthinking, feeling low or overwhelmed, dealing with loss, or finding yourself caught in patterns you don’t quite understand.
We’ll start with you — what’s happening in your life, how it feels, and what you’d like to understand or change.
You don't need to have worked out what's wrong before we meet. Sometimes knowing that something doesn't feel right is enough of a place to begin.
We can work it out together.

What Online Counselling with me is like
THERAPY THAT STARTS WITH YOU
I’m an integrative counsellor, which means I don’t work from one fixed way of doing therapy. We’ll work with what you bring, at a pace that feels right for you.
I’ll be curious about what’s happening now, but also about what may sit underneath it — the experiences, relationships or patterns that have shaped how you feel and respond.
You won’t just be listened to. I’ll think alongside you, notice things, ask questions and, when it feels useful, gently challenge you too.

WHAT MIGHT BRING YOU HERE?
People come to counselling for all sorts of reasons. You might recognise something here.
ANXIETY, LOW MOOD
& DEPRESSION
Worry that won’t switch off, feeling low, overwhelmed or simply not quite yourself. You might call it anxiety or depression, or perhaps you just know that something doesn’t feel right. Your mind may rarely give you a break, or you might feel flat, disconnected or find that things you once enjoyed take more effort. Together, we can become curious about what’s happening, what may sit underneath how you're feeling, and what you need now.
TRAUMA & DIFFICULT EXPERIENCES
Living with the impact of something that happened to you, whether recently or much further back. Sometimes experiences stay with us long after they’re over. You might notice their impact in how you feel, respond to situations, relate to other people or see yourself — even if you don’t think of what happened as “trauma”. We can explore what happened and how it affects you now, at a pace that feels manageable, without allowing the experience to define who you are.
SELF-ESTEEM &
SELF-DOUBT
Never feeling quite good enough, questioning yourself or worrying too much about what others think. Perhaps you’re hard on yourself in ways you wouldn’t be with someone else. You might compare yourself to others, look for reassurance, people-please or find it difficult to trust your own judgement. We can explore where those doubts come from and what it might be like to relate to yourself differently.
GRIEF, LOSS & BEREAVEMENT
Living with a loss, a change you didn’t choose, or a future that now looks different. Loss isn’t only about someone dying. Relationships end, lives change, opportunities disappear and sometimes the future you imagined changes too. There’s no right way or timetable for grief. Counselling gives us somewhere to make room for what you've lost and explore what life looks like alongside that loss.
RELATIONSHIPS & REPEATED PATTERNS
Finding yourself stuck in familiar relationship patterns, struggling with closeness, trust or boundaries. You might notice the same difficulties appearing in different relationships, or find yourself wondering why you respond in ways you don't always understand. Rather than deciding there’s something wrong with you, we can explore what happens between you and other people, what you need from relationships, and where some of those patterns may have begun.
STRESS, OVERWHELM
& BURNOUT
Carrying too much for too long, struggling to switch off or feeling like you’re running on empty. Sometimes you can keep going for a long time before realising just how much you’re carrying. Work, relationships, responsibilities and the pressure you put on yourself can gradually become too much. Counselling can give you somewhere to put some of it down, understand what has brought you to this point and consider what needs to change.
YOU DON’T NEED TO ARRIVE WITH A LABEL
You don’t need to know whether what you’re experiencing is anxiety, depression, trauma — or anything else. Sometimes you just know that something doesn’t feel right.
We’ll start with you, not the label.
ONLINE COUNSELLING: THE PRACTICAL BITS

DOES ONLINE COUNSELLING WORK?
Yes. Research suggests online counselling can be just as effective as working together in person for many people.
What matters most is the relationship we build together — feeling comfortable enough to talk openly, feel understood and be yourself.
GETTING THE MOST FROM ONLINE counselling
1
GIVE YOURSELF SOME BREATHING ROOM
Leave a little space before and after our session. In person, the journey naturally gives you time to gather your thoughts and process afterwards.
Online, it helps to create that space deliberately.
2
FIND SOMEWHERE YOU CAN SPEAK FREELY
Choose somewhere private and comfortable where you’re unlikely to be interrupted or worried about being overheard.
3
LET THE SESSION SETTLE
If you can, avoid rushing straight into your next meeting or task. A few quiet minutes, a short walk or even making a cup of tea can give the session time to settle.
However you choose to work, online or in person in Hackney Wick, we’ll go at a pace that feels right for you.
No obligation, just a chat.
