HOW I GOT HERE

Helping me to help you!

Why I Do This Work

Life can  feel complicated, overwhelming or isolating. At different points, we can all find ourselves stuck without the capacity, clarity or tools to move forward.

Whether you're looking for counselling to better understand yourself and make sense of your emotions, or coaching to navigate change, grow as a leader or achieve a personal or professional goal, many of the people I work with are simply looking for the space to think more clearly. Somewhere to pause, reflect, and work things through without judgement.

That's why I do this work.

My Story

Before retraining, I spent over 20 years in the corporate world, progressing through management and leadership roles before moving into leadership development. Working across Operations, Sales, Training and People Development, I led teams, developed leaders and delivered global talent and transformation programmes, giving me a deep understanding of the realities and responsibilities of leadership, while also sparking a lifelong love of travel.

In 2015, I took time out to travel and found myself reflecting on what mattered most. A long-held ambition to retrain as a therapist resurfaced, and after exploring the idea through volunteering and further study, I completed my degree as an Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor.

After gaining experience in both the charity and private sectors, I opened my private practice in thriving Hackney Wick. Supporting people through some of life's most difficult moments continues to be one of the greatest privileges of my career, and every day I'm reminded of people's remarkable capacity to heal, grow and create meaningful change when they're given the right support.

As my practice grew, I realised there was another part of my professional life I missed—the energy of helping people grow within the workplace. I formalised my coaching through an EMCC-accredited programme before achieving a Postgraduate Advanced Diploma (Level 7) in Senior Practitioner Coaching and EMCC Senior Practitioner accreditation.

Today, I divide my time between therapy and coaching. They are distinct professional disciplines, but each is strengthened by the other. My leadership experience, psychological training and thousands of hours of one-to-one work help me recognise the patterns that can quietly hold us back and create the space for meaningful, lasting change. Whether we're working therapeutically or through coaching, my role isn't to tell you what to do. It's to create the space for you to think, understand yourself more deeply, overcome what's getting in the way, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

I've found the balance. Let me help you find yours.

If you’re wondering whether counselling or coaching might be helpful for you, I'd love to hear from you. Let's have a chat get in touch.

Outside of Work

When I'm not working, you'll usually find me practising yoga, out on a long walk, travelling, or enjoying a loud rock gig, music festival or fringe theatre production.

Fun fact about me: I hate cheese!
