HOW I GOT HERE
Helping me to help you!
Life has taught me that, for many reasons, the world can be complicated, overwhelming, and isolating; we can become stuck, without the capacity or tools to move forward. My journey led me to become a therapist and a coach—to be someone people can turn to. Whether it’s helping them make sense of their emotions and behaviours, or supporting them in achieving their future aspirations, I truly believe everyone has the potential and deserves the chance to lead a happier, more fulfilling life.

After 20+ years in IT management roles, including Operations, Sales and Training, I joined a People Development consultancy, working with a wide range of organisations to develop and deliver global program roll-outs of performance and transformation strategies. Working globally sparked the bug for travel, and perhaps a hint of midlife crisis gave me the courage to pursue it! So, back in 2015, I took an 18-month career break to travel, ticking off around 19 countries in the process.
Travelling only enriched my desire to work more closely with people, and the nagging feeling since my early 30s to retrain as a therapist returned. I reflected on my strengths, skills and values, and tested the idea through volunteering and training courses before completing a degree to retrain as a psychotherapeutic counsellor. Then, after gaining experience by working in both charity and private sectors, I opened my private practice in thriving Hackney Wick, overlooking the canal. I love my work and find it truly life-affirming, and I continue to be in awe of the power of the psyche and its capacity to heal.
Even so, a nagging itch told me my career transition wasn’t complete. I was missing the dynamic buzz of the business world and wanted to utilise my experience. I scratched the itch by formalising my coaching skills to offer the service to clients who'd like support with personal and/or professional goals. I'm now working towards accreditation to become a senior coach practitioner, working with individuals, solopreneurs, start-ups and the private sector. Like my counselling degree, this advanced level ensures my approach is current, evidence-based and grounded in theory.
The combination of my life experience, psychology background, business acumen, and 1000s of hours of 1-2-1 work, helps me to help you. Liberating you from limiting beliefs, psychological obstacles, and negative drivers to heal, grow, and realise your potential. I’ve found the balance, let me help you find yours.

On a more personal note, I enjoy yoga, long walks and the odd loud rock gig, music festival and fringe theatre production. I still love to travel, with an endless bucket list of countries and cultures to visit. Fun fact about me? I hate cheese!
