ARE YOU REGISTERED WITH A PROFESSIONAL ORGANISATION?
I am a member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy & bound by its ethical framework in good practice in Counselling & Psychotherapy.
DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE?
I hold professional indemnity insurance & am fully DBS checked.
Note, for international clients, only UK policies & legislation applies. My insurance does not allow me to work with clients residing in the USA & Canada.
WHO DECIDES HOW MANY SESSIONS I NEED?
How long the process takes varies from one individual to another, so this is something we will regularly review together. You decide & control the number, frequency of sessions & when you want to stop. I only ask that you inform me should you want to end so that we can plan for it.
IS THERE DISABILITY ACCESS AT YOUR PRACTICE?
Hackney Wick: Unfortunately not at the present time as there is an outside stairway to the entrance. However, sessions can take place online.
WHAT IS YOUR BOOKING & CANCELLATION POLICY?
To secure your session, payments are to be made in advance by bank transfer at the time of booking.
While I aim to accommodate schedule changes, the session is held exclusively for you. Therefore, non-attendance & sessions cancelled within 48-hours of the appointment are charged in full.
DO I NEED TO SIGN A CONTRACT?
Yes, it's important that we agree to the terms & boundaries of our relationship, including confidentiality. Once you get in touch, I'll provide you with a password for the client login section on this website where you can download the contract in advance of our meeting. Any questions you have can be discussed in our initial consultation, ahead of signing it.
WHEN SHOULD I EXPECT TO HEAR BACK FROM YOU ONCE I MAKE CONTACT?
I aim to respond within 24-hours on standard weekdays from receipt of your message, often it's much sooner.

DO YOU OFFER A LOWER COST OPTION FOR THE UNEMPLOYED/lOW INCOME?
Yes, I have a limited number of weekday sessions (standard hours only) offered on a sliding scale - a fixed number of sessions may apply. Please contact me for further details.
DO YOU WORK WITH CHILDREN & YOUNG PEOPLE?
No, I only work with those aged 18 & over. If you are a young person seeking Counselling or you are looking for a therapist to work with your child; please search for Children's Counsellors or CYP agencies. For example http://www.step-forward.org/
